Privacy
In short
This website sets no cookies, uses no trackers, no third-party analytics and no advertising. The only form is on the Contact page: nothing is sent until you click “Send my request”. It loads nothing from outside: the fonts are hosted with the site. The website and email are hosted in Belgium, and no data is ever sold or rented.
Who is responsible for your data

Website technical logs
Like any web server, the one hosting this website records for each visit the IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the browser type.
Controller: Selgea BV (Sia-OS). Purpose: running the website, protecting it against abuse and improving it (pages viewed, loading times, errors), as overall statistics that cannot identify you. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention: 30 days for the logs; the overall, anonymous statistics may be kept longer.
Phone bookings
When you book by phone, the restaurant notes your name, the number of guests, the date and a number to reach you.
Controller: the restaurant. Purpose: managing your booking. Legal basis: carrying out your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Retention: 90 days after the meal.
Emails sent to the restaurant
When you write to reservation@pasdechichis.be or any other @pasdechichis.be address, the restaurant receives your email address, your name if it appears, your message and anything you choose to attach.
Controller: the restaurant. Purpose: replying to you and, where relevant, managing your booking or group request. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps or carrying out your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Retention: emails about a booking are deleted no later than 90 days after the meal, other emails no later than 12 months after the last exchange. Your address is never used for marketing and is not added to any newsletter.
The mailbox is hosted by Selgea BV on behalf of the restaurant. To protect it, the server filters spam and viruses and keeps technical logs (sender and recipient addresses, date and time, without the content of the messages), kept as long as needed for security and reliable delivery (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Contact form
If you use the form, we receive the type of request, the date and service you would like, the number of guests, your name, your phone number, your email if you give it, the type of event and your message. This data is used only to answer your request (pre-contractual steps taken at your request, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). It is passed on to the restaurant by the request service of Selgea BV (Sia-OS), which hosts it on its behalf and kept for 90 days after the meal.
Improving the restaurant
To improve its welcome, its menu and the way it is run, the restaurant keeps statistics based on bookings and requests: number of guests, most requested services, types of requests. These statistics are anonymous: they contain no name, phone number or email address (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Recipients and place of processing
All this data is processed on Selgea BV’s infrastructure, in Belgium. Only the restaurant’s staff, for bookings and emails, and the Selgea staff in charge of the website can access it. It is never sold, transferred or disclosed to third parties, unless the law requires it.
Links to other websites
Links to Tripadvisor, Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, Facebook, Instagram or STIB open websites with their own privacy policies. Nothing is loaded from those sites unless you click.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to and port your data (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR). For bookings and emails, contact the restaurant by phone or at reservation@pasdechichis.be; for website data, write to dpo@selgea.com. You will receive a reply within one month, which may be extended under the conditions of Article 12(3) GDPR.
